How long have you been working with dlivrd?
A month!
What does your journey into the gig economy look like?
My boyfriend started with dlivrd back in October. I was really impressed with his earnings from doing catering deliveries with dlivrd. With only doing a couple orders a day, he would make almost as much as I’d make in a full day of work! I had always been curious about gig work, but seeing this firsthand convinced me to quit my full-time job and pursue dlivrd while still being able to travel and do things on my own terms! Delivering catering orders makes me happy. I love seeing their reactions to food arriving at meetings or events! I do dabble in on-demand delivery as well, but by far dlivrd is my favorite!
What does the #dlivrddifference mean to you?
For being new to the platform, the fact that there’s always someone to get in touch with pre- and post-delivery. Communication is above and beyond similar platforms. The dlivrd app is very user-friendly as well. Catering delivery and larger orders definitely need a real person on the other end of a text or phone call! (Author’s note: Mona actually received a dlivrd delivery offer while we were on the phone – totally unbeknownst to the both of us!)

It was truly perfect timing! Last Friday was my final day at my full-time job in accounting. I had been there for the last five years and wanted to leave to pursue gig work. Health insurance coverage became a major concern for me as I prepared to leave my job, since it had been taken care of by my employer. The #dlivrdwellness2023 promotion came at the perfect time. I was able to sign up for coverage starting next month. dlivrd really helped to put my worries about insurance to rest. Now I can take some of my earnings and purchase a catering cart and other equipment!
What advice would you give to new Earning Partners?
Pay attention during the onboarding call and make sure you familiarize yourself with the app prior to taking your first delivery. Swiping is very important! I also recommend forming relationships with other dlivrd Earning Partners so you can learn and get some advice on what it takes to be successful. My boyfriend has been a wonderful coach for learning the ropes!
Do you have a favorite dish from a restaurant you’ve completed a catering delivery for?
Carrabba’s is very popular for catering orders here in Wichita, KS. I would love to try their chicken marsala! I would say I’m a Mexican food fan as well.
