We’re continuing our monthly series on our #dlivrddifferencemakers, featuring Logan DeDominicis!

Position: Logistics Coordinator.
Hometown: Torrington, CT.
How long have you been with dlivrd? I’ve been with dlivrd 3 weeks in the San Diego office!
Expand upon your professional background: I started working in restaurants out of college, doing back-of-house and kitchen management. I’m familiar with how restaurants run, so that definitely helps me understand what goes into preparing a catering order for pickup. After this, I spent the past two years working at Amazon in a logistics and operations-centered role in the parcel division. Within the parcel side of Amazon, I was able to work for two start-ups which were third-party logistics companies that handled Amazon deliveries. The second start-up, I was one of the first people there! Working in a start-up like dlivrd, there’s more opportunity for growth and the sky’s the limit!
What is the most rewarding part of your role? I love seeing all the delivery offers come in, getting to connect them to the drivers, and them being successfully delivered. It’s rewarding to see the full lifecycle from start to finish. We’re able to offer earning partners high-quality earning opportunities as a result of the team’s function!
What is your superpower? Problem-solving! I think a lot of it comes from my previous logistics experience. I view the order coordination process as fitting the puzzle pieces together in a creative way. I love to come up with new ways to handle problems that not only benefit me, but that I can share with the logistics team.
What does the #dlivrddifference mean to you? In terms of earning partners, it’s the transparency and honesty we provide regarding tipping, earnings, promotion, and opportunity for benefits. This is something that can be tough to come by as an independently-contracted worker in the gig economy. For the restaurants, it means connecting them with thorough, motivated earning partners that will take excellent care of their deliveries. With the establishing of goodwill, both earning partners and restaurant partners will be satisfied at the end of the day!
Fun fact about yourself: I enjoy surfing and boogie boarding, now that I’m living in San Diego!
What is a quote you live by? “I’m tired of waiting for life to come to me, so I’m heading into the great unknown!” It essentially means, seize the day!
Favorite food: Tacos, specifically the Adobada kind! (Author’s note: for those who may not be familiar, Adobada is sliced pork marinated in adobo sauce. Adobo sauce is made with chiles, garlic cloves, onion, lime juice, and orange juice!)
